According to a report by the Over-the-Counter Electricity Transactions Management Office, the total volume of over-the-counter electricity transactions (including both Iran Energy Exchange and bilateral contracts) during the first quarter of 1404 (from March 20 to June 20, 2025) reached approximately 28 billion kilowatt-hours.

Of this share, 22% was traded via the Iran Energy Exchange, and 7% through bilateral contracts.
Moreover, during Khordad 1404 (May 21 – June 20, 2025), the total volume of over-the-counter electricity transactions reached around 9 billion kilowatt-hours, representing approximately 24% of all electricity trades during that month.
